The Wiki Lunch and Learn is a knowledge-sharing event designed to increase awareness and understanding of Wikimedia projects among staff and institutional stakeholders at the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal. == Description ==
Wiki Loves Earth Photowalk in [https://ca.wikimedia.org/wiki/Moncton_WikiClub Moncton] is an in-person community event designed to introduce participants to Wikimedia Commons and guide them through the process of contributing high-quality images to free knowledge platforms. During the event, participants will learn about Wikimedia Commons, photo licensing, image uploads, and how to write clear and detailed descriptions that make images more useful and discoverable.

Participants will visit and photograph natural areas in and around Moncton, including Hopewell park, Irishtown Nature Park, Centennial Park, Mapleton Park, and Mill Creek Nature Park. The photowalk will focus on capturing eligible Wiki Loves Earth subjects, including landscapes such as forests, wetlands, lakes, trails, and notable trees, as well as macro and close-up images of animals, birds, insects, plants, fungi, and other natural subjects.

Following the photowalk, participants will upload their images to Wikimedia Commons and apply the skills learned during the training session. Each participant will receive a Certificate of Participation in recognition of their contribution. To encourage both quality and completeness, awards will be issued to the best-quality photos uploaded and participant who uploads the highest number of quality photos with detailed descriptions.

This activity aims to increase awareness of Wikimedia Commons, develop photography and documentation skills, strengthen local Wikimedia engagement, and contribute freely licensed images of Moncton's natural heritage for use across Wikimedia projects and beyond.
