We are inviting you to share your ideas for technical improvements to our tools and platforms. Long experience in editing or technical skills is not required. If you have ever used our software and thought of an idea to improve it, this is the place to come share those ideas!

The dates for the phases of the Survey will be as follows:
* Phase 1: Submit, discuss, and revise proposals – Monday, Jan 23, 2023 to Sunday, Feb 6, 2023
* Phase 2: WMF/Community Tech reviews and organizes proposals – Monday, Jan 30, 2023 to Friday, Feb 10, 2023
* Phase 3: Vote on proposals – Friday, Feb 10, 2023 to Friday, Feb 24, 2023
* Phase 4: Results posted – Tuesday, Feb 28, 2023

Именно в эти сроки должны были пройти два крупнейших континентальных футбольных турнира — Евро-2020 и Кубок Америки 2020. Однако из-за коронавируса оба турнира были перенесены на 2021 год. Объявляя этот конкурс, википедисты намерены выразить свою солидарность с футбольным сообществом, а также восполнить пробелы, связанные с футбольной тематикой — особенно в разделах на языках народов России. Марафон организован НП «Викимедиа РУ», Группой «Викимедийцы Башкортостана», Группой участников-википедистов Северного Кавказа, Группой «Викимедийцы, пишущие на эрзянском языке», Группой татароязычных участников сообщества Викимедиа. Hello. To facilitate [[m:steward|steward]] granting of bot access, I suggest implementing the [[m:Bot policy|standard bot policy]] on this wiki. In particular, this policy allows stewards to automatically flag known interlanguage linking bots (if this page says that is acceptable), which form the vast majority of such requests. The policy also enables [[m:Bot policy#Global_bots|global bots]] on this wiki (if this page says that is acceptable), which are trusted bots that will be given bot access on every wiki that allows global bots.

This policy makes bot access requesting much easier for local users, operators, and stewards. To implement it we only need to create a redirect to this page from [[Project:Bot policy]], and add a line at the top noting that it is used here. Please read the text at [[m:Bot policy]] before commenting. If you object, please say so; I hope to implement it soon if there is no objection, since it is particularly written to streamline bot requests on wikis with little or no community interested in bot access requests.

Hoi! Ran first global bot task (fixing double redirects) via [[Special:Contribs/Revibot]]. There are few circular redirects (A redirect to B, B redirect to C, C redirect to A) so bot couldn't fix it. I want to bring your attention to the next stage of the Universal Code of Conduct process, which is forming a building committee for the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C). I invite community members with experience and deep interest in community health and governance to nominate themselves to be part of the U4C building committee, which needs people who are:

* Community members in good standing
* Knowledgeable about movement community processes, such as, but not limited to, policy drafting, participatory decision making, and application of existing rules and policies on Wikimedia projects
* Aware and appreciative of the diversity of the movement, such as, but not limited to, languages spoken, identity, geography, and project type
* Committed to participate for the entire U4C Building Committee period from mid-May - December 2023
* Comfortable with engaging in difficult, but productive conversations
* Confidently able to communicate in English

The Building Committee shall consist of volunteer community members, affiliate board or staff, and Wikimedia Foundation staff.

Мы рады объявить [[listarchive:list/wikimedia-l@lists.wikimedia.org/message/4TALOUFPAP2VDBR27GKRVOP7IGQYU3DB/|о новых членах и советниках Избирательной комиссии]]. [[m:Special:MyLanguage/Wikimedia_Foundation_elections_committee|Избирательный комитет]] помогает в разработке и внедрении процесса отбора попечителей, отобранных Сообществом и аффилированными лицами, в Совет попечителей Фонда Викимедиа. После открытого процесса выдвижения наиболее сильные кандидаты пообщались с Правлением, и четырем кандидатам было предложено войти в состав Избирательной комиссии. Еще четырем кандидатам было предложено принять участие в качестве консультантов.

В ратификационном голосовании участвовало 1746 человек, в числе которых 1249 участников одобрили Устав, а 420 участников - нет. В этом году у четырех членов, избранных от сообщества и партнеров, заканчивается срок пребывания в Совете попечителей [1]. Совет приглашает все движение принять участие в процессе отбора и голосования с целью заполнения этих мест в этом году.

[[m:Special:MyLanguage/Wikimedia Foundation elections committee|Комитет по выборам]] будет осуществлять надзор за этим процессом при участии сотрудников Фонда [2]. Комитет по вопросам управления создал Рабочую группу по формированию совета, состоящую из попечителей, которые не могут быть кандидатами в проводимом сообществом и партнерами процессе отбора в 2024 году, в следующем составе: Dariusz Jemielniak, Nataliia Tymkiv, Esra'a Al Shafei, Kathy Collins и Shani Evenstein Sigalov [3]. Данной группе поручено осуществлять надзор со стороны Совета за процессом отбора попечителей 2024 года и информировать его ходе выполнения. Ниже перечислены ключевые планируемые даты:

*  Май 2024 года. Выдвижение кандидатов и формулировка вопросов.
*  Июнь 2024 года. Партнерские организации проводят голосование для составления шорт-листа из 12 кандидатов (составление шорт-листа не проводится при количестве заявок менее чем 15) [5].
*  Июнь-август 2024 года. Период проведения кампании.
*  Конец августа - начало сентября 2024 года. Двухнедельный период голосования сообщества.
*  Октябрь-ноябрь 2024 года. Проверка биографических данных кандидатов.
*  Заседание Совета в декабре 2024 года. Новые попечители приступают к работе.

Community members are invited to submit their applications in the special election for the U4C. Hello all! We opened a discussion on Meta about a very delicate issue for the development of [[:m:Special:MyLanguage/Abstract Wikipedia|Abstract Wikipedia]]: where to store the abstract content that will be developed through functions from Wikifunctions and data from Wikidata. Since some of the hypothesis involve your project, we wanted to hear your thoughts too. 

We want to make the decision process clear: we do not yet know which option we want to use, which is why we are consulting here. We will take the arguments from the Wikimedia communities into account, and we want to consult with the different communities and hear arguments that will help us with the decision. The decision will be made and communicated after the consultation period by the Foundation.

Дорогие друзья,

В этом году истекают сроки полномочий двух (2) попечителей Фонда Викимедиа, избранных сообществом и организациями Викимедиа [1]. Совет попечителей приглашает всё движение принять участие в процессе отбора и голосовании за кандидатов на эти места.

Избирательная комиссия будет координировать данный процесс при поддержке сотрудников Фонда [2]. Комитет по управлению, состоящий из попечителей, не участвующих в выборах 2025 года (Раджу Наризетти, Шани Эвенштейн Сигалов, Лоренцо Лоза, Кэти Коллинз, Виктория Доронина и Эсраа Аль Шафеи) [3], будет осуществлять надзор за процессом отбора от имени Совета и информировать его о ходе выборов. Более подробную информацию о ролях Избирательной комиссии, Совета попечителей и сотрудников можно найти здесь [4].

Основные запланированные даты:

* 22 мая – 5 июня: Объявление (данное сообщение) и период для вопросов [6]
* 17 июня – 1 июля 2025: Приём заявок от кандидатов
* Июль 2025: При необходимости — голосование организаций Викимедиа для сокращения списка, если число поданных заявок превысит 10 [5]
* Август 2025: Предвыборная кампания
* Август – сентябрь 2025: Двухнедельное голосование сообщества
* Октябрь – ноябрь 2025: Проверка биографических данных выбранных кандидатов
* Заседание Совета в декабре 2025: Вступление в должность новых членов Совета попечителей

В каждом избирательном цикле у сообщества есть возможность предложить вопросы, на которые должны ответить кандидаты в попечители. Избирательная комиссия отбирает вопросы из списка, составленного сообществом. Кандидаты обязаны ответить на все обязательные вопросы в своей заявке, в противном случае их кандидатура будет отклонена. В этом году Избирательная комиссия отберёт 5 вопросов. Итоговые вопросы могут представлять собой объединение схожих или связанных вопросов, поступивших от сообщества [[m:Special:MyLanguage/Wikimedia_Foundation_elections/2025/Questions_for_candidates|[ссылка]]].
