{{gap}}ਬਸੰਤ ਮਾਲਾ—ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ ਤੁਸਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਭਲਾ ਏਹ ਤਾਂ ਦੱਸੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਏਹ ਕਿਸਤਰਾਂ ਨਿਸਚਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅੰਜਨਾਂ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੀ, ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰਦੀ ਤੁਸਾਂ ਪਹਿਲੋਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਸਦੀ ਕਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਨੀ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਪਛਾਨ ਕਿਸ ਤਰਾਂ ਲਿਯਾ ਕਿ ਏਸੇ ਦੀ ਹੈ ਮੰਨ ਵੀ ਲਿਆਜਾਵੇ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸਵੇਲੇ ਧੋਖਾ ਹੀ ਲਗਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਏਹ ਤਾਂ ਬੜੀ ਅਸਾਨ ਗਲ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਵਿਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਨਾ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦ ਪਰ ਹਾਏ ਅਫਸੋਸ! ਤੁਸਾਂ ਏਸ ਗਲ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਸੋਚਿਆ। ਏਹ ਰਾਜ ਦੁਲਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਕੁਝ ਦੋਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਏਹ ਕੈਹਕੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਰੋਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਈਆਂ॥

{{gap}}ਪਵਨ-ਪ੍ਰਿਯਾਜੀ! ਏਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਓਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਸ ਜਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਹਾਂਸੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਓਹ ਏਹੀ ਜਾਨਨ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਲੜਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦਾ ਮੁੜ ਆਯਾ ਹਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂਨੂੰ ਜਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਉਜ਼ਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ॥

{{gap}}ਅੰਜਨਾਂ ਦੇਵੀ-ਮਹਾਰਾਜ! ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀ ਆਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਕੇ ਹੀ ਓਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਬਰ ਤਾਂ ਕਰ ਦੇਓ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਏਹ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਰਿਤੁਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਹੋਈਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਮੈਦ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ ਸਾਡੀ ਮਨੋ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਸਿੱਧ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਲਈ ਅਮੀਰ ਤੇ ਗਰੀਬ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਕਰਦ ਹਨ॥

{{gap}}ਅੰਜਨਾਂ ਦੇਵੀ-ਵੇਖੀਏ ਸ੍ਵਾਮੀ ਜੀ ਕਦੋਂ ਆਂਵਦੇ ਹਨ? ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਂ ਓਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਸੂਰਤ ਸਮਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਧਰ ਖਨੀ ਹਾਂ ਓਹੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੀ ਓਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਹਾਵਨੀ ਅਵਾਜ ਗੂੰਜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਛੇਜ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਨੀ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਓਹੀ ਬੈਠੇ ਜਾਪਦੇ ਹਨ।

{{gap}}ਅੰਜਨਾਂ ਦੇਵੀ-ਨਹੀਂ ਭੈਨ! ਮੈਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰ ਏਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਜਰੂਰ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਰਾਨੀ ਨੇ ( ਸਾਸ ) ਸ੍ਵਾਮੀ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਏਥੇ ਆਉਨ ਦਾ ਅੰਗੂਠੀ ਵੇਖਕੇ ਭੀ ਇਤਬਾਰ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ ਹਾਏ ਫਿਰ ਤਾਂ ਬੜੀ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਦਾ ਸਾਮਨਾ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥

{{gap}}ਪਾਠਕ ਗਣ! ਇਥੇ ਇਹ ਦਸਨਾ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੰਜਨਾਂ ਦੇਵੀ ਬੜੀ ਪੁੰਨ ਆਤਮਾ ਦਯਾਲੂ ਹੈ ਵੇਖੋ ਦਿਨ ਚੜ੍ਹਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਕਿੰਨੇਅਰਥੀ ਇਸਦੇ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਖਲੋਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਏਹ ਭਾਂਤ ੧ ਚ ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਰੋਟੀ ਲੈਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਪੈਸਾ ਮੰਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਕਪੜੇ ਦਾ ਮੁਆਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਬੜਾ ਸੁੰਦ੍ਰ ਹੈ, ਕਹੀਆਂ ਅੱਛੀਆਂ ਅਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਦਲਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੁੰਦ੍ਰ ਫ਼ਰਸ਼ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਯਾ ਹੈ ਅਰ ਬੜਾ ਸੋਹਨਾ ਗਲੀਚਾ ਵਿਛਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੜੀ ਸੋਹਨੀ ਲਾਲ ਮਖ਼ਮਲ ਦਾ ਗਦੇਲਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਨੀ ਕੇਤੂਮਤੀ ਤਕੀਯਾ ਲਾਏ ਬੈਠੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਟੈਹਲਨ ਭੀ ਹਥ ਜੋੜੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖਲੋਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਅਸੀ ਪਛਾਨਨੇ ਭੀ ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਦੀ ਜਰੂਰ ਦੇਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਓਹੋ! ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਲਲਿਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਅਸਾਂ ਅੰਜਨਾਂ ਦੇਵੀ ਕੋਲ ਡਿੱਠਾਸੀ, ਠੀਕ! ਇਹ ਓਹੋਹੀ ਹੈ, ਓਹ ਵੇਖੋ! ਰਾਨੀ ਕੇਤੂਮਤੀ ਭੀ ਬੜੀ ਸਜ ਧਜ ਨਾਲ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕਪੜੇ ਪਾਏ ਬੈਠੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਲਲਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੇਖਕੇ ਤਿਉੜੀ ਚੜਾਕੇ ਆਖ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ॥  

{{gap}}ਰਾਨੀ-ਕੀ ਇਹ ਸੱਚੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੰਜਨਾਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਦਲੀਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਧਨ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਬੇਅਰਥ ਲੁਟਾ ਰਹੀ॥

{{gap}}ਇਹ ਸੁਨਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਰਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਚਕਰਾ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੇਂ ਕਰ ਊਂਧੀ ਪਾਕੇ ਚਿਰ ਤਕ ਕੁਝ ਸੋਚਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਫੇਰ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਲਲਿਤਾ ਵਲ ਵੇਖਕੇ ਕਹਨ ਲੱਗੀ॥

{{gap}}ਰਾਨੀ ਇਸਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਕਿ ਇਸਦੀ ਹਲੀਮੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਬਾਤ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਅੱਛਾ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਨਕ ਮੂੰਹ ਚਾੜ੍ਹ ਤਿਊੜੀ ਪਾਕੇ ਬੜੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਇਹਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਨ ਲੱਗੀ, ਜਾਂ ਉਸਦੇ ਬਦਨ ਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਪਈ ਤੇ ਗਰਭ ਹੋਨ ਦੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਦਖੇ ਸੜ ਬਲਕੇ ਕੋਇਲਾ ਹੋ ਕਹਿਨ ਲੱਗੀ “ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੈਂ ਯਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਰੋਗ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਹੋਗਯਾ ਹੈ&quot;॥

ਛਿਨ ਬਿਪਤਾਦੇ ਔਨ ਉਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਸੁਖ ਦਾਇਕ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ
ਵਿਤੀਤ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਏ ਅਰ ਊਤਮ ਜਾਨਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਏ ਕਿੰਊਂ
ਕਿ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਦੁਖ ਅਰ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਸਹਿਨ ਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ
ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਸ਼ਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਬੁਜਦਿਲੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ
ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਜਗਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਬੁਜਦਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਨਨਾਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ
ਕਠਨਤਾਈ ਦੇ ਸਮਯ ਵਿਚ ਬੇਆਸ ਅਰ ਹਰਾਨ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ
ਹੋਨਾ ਉਚਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਮਰਦ ਬਨੋ ! ਕਮਰ ਕਸੋ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾਈ
ਰਖੋ ! ਅਰ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰ ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰਖੋ ! ਦੇਖੋ ਭਵਿ ਵਿਚ
ਅਜੇ ਕੀ ਕੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਲਛਮਨ ਕੁਝ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇਨ ਹੀ ਲਗਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਨੇ ਵਿਚ
ਸੁਗ੍ਰੀਵ-ਹਨੂਮਾਨ-ਅੰਗਦ ਆਦਿਕ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹਸਦੇ ਹੋਏ
ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਨਿਕਲੇ ਜਿਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੀ ਲਛਮਨ ਜੀਦੇ
ਚਿਹਰੇ ਤੇ ਸਨਤਾ ਜਿਹੀ ਆਗਈ ਅਰ ਹਨੂਮਾਨ ਜੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ
ਪੁਛਨਾਂ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਇਹ ਕਿ ਲਛਮਨ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ
ਗਲ ਦਸੇ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਅਪਨੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਮਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ
ਡੇਗ ਦਿਤਾ ਅਰ ਇਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਚੁਕ ਕੇ ਛਾਤੀ ਨਾਲ
ਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਰ ਇਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਸਭ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੋਂ
ਨਾਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਰ ਇਹ ਖ਼ਵਰ ਇਕ ਪਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ
ਸਾਰੀ ਛਾਉਨੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਚ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਹਨੂਮਾਨ ਆਦਿਕ ਸੀਤਾ
ਜੀ ਦੀ ਖਵਰ ਲੈਕੇ ਮੁੜ ਆਏ ਹਨ। ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜੇ ਜੋ
ਓਥੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਸਭ ਅਕਠੇ ਹੋ
ਓਥੇ ਆਓਨ ਲਗੇ। ਅਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ
ਸੀਤਾ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਚੂੜਾ ਰਾਮਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਅਗੇ ਰਖਿਆ । ਅਰ ਅੰਤ

ਵਿਤੀਤ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਏ ਅਰ ਊਤਮ ਜਾਨਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਏ ਕਿੰਊਂ
ਕਿ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਦੁਖ ਅਰ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਸਹਿਨ ਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ
ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਸ਼ਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਬੁਜਦਿਲੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ
ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਜਗਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਬੁਜਦਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਨਨਾਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ
ਕਠਨਤਾਈ ਦੇ ਸਮਯ ਵਿਚ ਬੇਆਸ ਅਰ ਹਰਾਨ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ
ਹੋਨਾ ਉਚਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਮਰਦ ਬਨੋ ! ਕਮਰ ਕਸੋ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾਈ
ਰਖੋ ! ਅਰ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰ ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰਖੋ ! ਦੇਖੋ ਭਵਿ ਵਿਚ

ਪੁਛਨਾਂ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਇਹ ਕਿ ਲਛਮਨ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ
ਗਲ ਦਸੇ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਅਪਨੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਮਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ
ਡੇਗ ਦਿਤਾ ਅਰ ਇਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਚੁਕ ਕੇ ਛਾਤੀ ਨਾਲ
ਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਰ ਇਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਸਭ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੋਂ
ਨਾਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਰ ਇਹ ਖ਼ਵਰ ਇਕ ਪਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ
ਸਾਰੀ ਛਾਉਨੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਚ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਹਨੂਮਾਨ ਆਦਿਕ ਸੀਤਾ
ਜੀ ਦੀ ਖਵਰ ਲੈਕੇ ਮੁੜ ਆਏ ਹਨ। ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜੇ ਜੋ
ਓਥੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਸਭ ਅਕਠੇ ਹੋ
ਓਥੇ ਆਓਨ ਲਗੇ। ਅਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ

ਛਿਨ ਬਿਪਤਾਦੇ ਔਨ ਉਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਸੁਖ ਦਾਇਕ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ
ਵਿਤੀਤ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਏ ਅਰ ਊਤਮ ਜਾਨਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਏ ਕਿੰਊਂ
ਕਿ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਦੁਖ ਅਰ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਸਹਿਨ ਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ
ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਸ਼ਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਬੁਜਦਿਲੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ
ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਜਗਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਬੁਜਦਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਨਨਾਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ
ਕਠਨਤਾਈ ਦੇ ਸਮਯ ਵਿਚ ਬੇਆਸ ਅਰ ਹਰਾਨ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ
ਹੋਨਾ ਉਚਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਮਰਦ ਬਨੋ ! ਕਮਰ ਕਸੋ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾਈ
ਰਖੋ ! ਅਰ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰ ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰਖੋ ! ਦੇਖੋ ਭਵਿ ਵਿਚ
ਅਜੇ ਕੀ ਕੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਚਿਹਰੇ ਤੇ ਸਨਤਾ ਜਿਹੀ ਆਗਈ ਅਰ ਹਨੂਮਾਨ ਜੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ
ਪੁਛਨਾਂ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਇਹ ਕਿ ਲਛਮਨ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ
ਗਲ ਦਸੇ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਅਪਨੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਮਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ
ਡੇਗ ਦਿਤਾ ਅਰ ਇਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਚੁਕ ਕੇ ਛਾਤੀ ਨਾਲ
ਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਰ ਇਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਸਭ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੋਂ
ਨਾਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਰ ਇਹ ਖ਼ਵਰ ਇਕ ਪਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ
ਸਾਰੀ ਛਾਉਨੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਚ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਹਨੂਮਾਨ ਆਦਿਕ ਸੀਤਾ
ਜੀ ਦੀ ਖਵਰ ਲੈਕੇ ਮੁੜ ਆਏ ਹਨ। ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜੇ ਜੋ
ਓਥੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਸਭ ਅਕਠੇ ਹੋ

This year, the term of 2 (two) Community- and Affiliate-selected Trustees on the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees will come to an end [1]. The Board invites the whole movement to participate in this year’s selection process and vote to fill those seats.

A vision of relevant, accessible, and impactful free knowledge has always guided the Wikimedia Movement. As the ecosystem of Wikimedia projects continues to evolve, it is crucial that we periodically review existing projects to ensure they still align with our goals and community capacity.

Despite their noble intent, some projects may no longer effectively serve their original purpose. '''Reviewing such projects is not about giving up – it's about responsible stewardship of shared resources'''. Volunteer time, staff support, infrastructure, and community attention are finite, and the non-technical costs tend to grow significantly as our ecosystem has entered a different age of the internet than the one we were founded in. Supporting inactive projects or projects that didn't meet our ambitions can unintentionally divert these resources from areas with more potential impact.

Moreover, maintaining projects that no longer reflect the quality and reliability of the Wikimedia name stands for, involves a reputational risk. An abandoned or less reliable project affects trust in the Wikimedia movement.

Lastly, '''failing to sunset or reimagine projects that are no longer working can make it much harder to start new ones'''. When the community feels bound to every past decision – no matter how outdated – we risk stagnation. A healthy ecosystem must allow for evolution, adaptation, and, when necessary, letting go. If we create the expectation that every project must exist indefinitely, we limit our ability to experiment and innovate.

Because of this, SPTF reviewed two requests concerning the lifecycle of the Sister Projects to work through and demonstrate the review process. We chose Wikispore as a case study for a possible new Sister Project opening and Wikinews as a case study for a review of an existing project. Preliminary findings were discussed with the CAC, and a community consultation on both proposals was recommended.

=== Wikispore ===

The [[m:Wikispore|application to consider Wikispore]] was submitted in 2019. SPTF decided to review this request in more depth because rather than being concentrated on a specific topic, as most of the proposals for the new Sister Projects are, Wikispore has the potential to nurture multiple start-up Sister Projects.

After careful consideration, the SPTF has decided '''not to recommend''' Wikispore as a Wikimedia Sister Project. Considering the current activity level, the current arrangement allows '''better flexibility''' and experimentation while WMF provides core infrastructural support. 

We acknowledge the initiative's potential and seek community input on what would constitute a sufficient level of activity and engagement to reconsider its status in the future.

As part of the process, we shared the decision with the Wikispore community and invited one of its leaders, Pharos, to an SPTF meeting.

Currently, we especially invite feedback on measurable criteria indicating the project's readiness, such as contributor numbers, content volume, and sustained community support. This would clarify the criteria sufficient for opening a new Sister Project, including possible future Wikispore re-application. However, the numbers will always be a guide because any number can be gamed.

=== Wikinews ===

We chose to review Wikinews among existing Sister Projects because it is the one for which we have observed the highest level of concern in multiple ways.

Additionally, by most measures, it is the least active Sister Project, with the greatest drop in activity over the years.

While the Language Committee routinely opens and closes language versions of the Sister Projects in small languages, there has never been a valid proposal to close Wikipedia in major languages or any project in English. [[:c:File:Sister Projects Taskforce Wikinews review 2024.pdf|Initial metrics]] compiled by WMF staff also support the community's concerns about Wikinews.

Based on this report, SPTF recommends a community reevaluation of Wikinews. We conclude that its current structure and activity levels are the lowest among the existing sister projects. SPTF also recommends pausing the opening of new language editions while the consultation runs.

SPTF brings this analysis to a discussion and welcomes discussions of alternative outcomes, including potential restructuring efforts or integration with other Wikimedia initiatives.

ਵਿਕੀ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਇੰਡੀਆ 2026 ਲਈ ਸਕਾਲਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ 4 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ 6 ਸਤੰਬਰ 2026 ਤੱਕ ਕੋਚੀ (ਭਾਰਤ) ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

ਵਿਕੀ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਭਾਰਤ, ਦੱਖਣੀ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਕੀਮੀਡੀਅਨ, ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਚ 'ਤੇ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮੰਚ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਨਵਾਂ ਸਿੱਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਤਜ਼ਰਬੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕਰਕੇ, ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ (free knowledge movement) ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

Dear Community member,

We would like to invite you all to the April edition of the South Asia Open Community Call that will focus on a discussion with the leadership of the Wikimedia Foundation on their [[:m:Wikimedia Foundation Annual Plan/2026-2027|Annual Plan (2026-2027)]]. 

The [[:m:Wikimedia Foundation Annual Plan|Foundation’s Annual Plan]] is a high-level roadmap for what the organisation aims to achieve in the coming year. It includes not only the foundation’s Goals, Progress, and plan but also a summary of Global Trends that impact the present and future of our movement. 

This is the right time for the South Asia community to participate and share their thoughts on the Wikimedia Foundation’s annual plan, helping shape it together. Share your hopes, concerns, bold ideas, and specific requests to contribute to the Foundation’s planning.
