Hi Ramir,

My idea with the Wikibooks Embassy would be, at least for foreign language wikibooks, for using the same useful content in multiple languages. For example, a good russian diaglogue with a corresponding audio file could be used in the russian wikibook for english and german (and any other language). Also, just communication between communities in general- for example, a russian working on a book on Cplusplus might want to ask for help from another wikibooks community with an established cplusplus wikibooks already created, or being worked on. These are the types of things Í had in mind.
As far as common mistakes for russian speakers, I´ll let you know as I come across them. Also, in the future I will write to you in russian- there is just no cyrillic keyboard available to me at the moment. Let me know if you think the embassy is a good idea, and I will very soon start some serious work on the russian wikibook. -DettoAltrimenti (I have no idea where the tildas are on this keyboard!) I haven't been in contact since May, but I have not been spending much time on wikibooks. I am messaging you because I am intensively studying russian (preparing to move to Moscow), and you told me you were working on a book for high-level speakers who know most grammar but want to speak more precisely. I have been having problems with using my dictionary to tell the difference between prefixed verbs- for instance, the difference between давать, передавать, отдавать, etc. If you are writing a book on grammar, I would suggest having sections for the more frequently used verbs with specific information about what each prefix means in speaking and writing- the ones I see most often are носить/нести, давать/дать, and any motion verbs. В любом случае, если зайти на страницу [[Вики]] с MSIE6, то видно, что после каждого &amp;lt;blockquote&amp;gt; текст немного съезжает влево, под сероватую область, и в результате после нескольких &amp;lt;blockquote&amp;gt; текст становится невозможно читать. Методом научного тыка удалось установить, что проблема исчезает, если убрать  &lt;tt&gt;@import&lt;/tt&gt; в начале глобального Monobook.css, тем более что они там и не нужны. == Проэкт Вавилон ==
Я перенёс проэкт Вавилон с русской википедии. Нужно почистить немного шаблоны да и названия. Так, некоторые названия содержат слово Википедия, нужно заменить на Викиучебник, некоторые шаблоны были защищены от изменений и они стали защищёнными и здесь (тут только администратор поможет), нужно решить хотим ли мы оставить защищённым или снять защиту. This project is the subject of a thread, and the unanimous opinion of the thread at this point is that the banners in question should be restored. Your actions have kept away more people than you've drawn in.  Attacking the foundation (which is a non-profit charity, not a profit-making corporation), which provides the platform for the Russian Wikibooks, does not help your cause, if you are truly interested in seeing the Russian Wikibooks succeed. You've made no effort whatsoever to work with members of the foundation, contrary to remarks you've made above.  I have certainly never received an email from you, nor has anyone forwarded me one.

Translations are done by the community, because we are a not-for-profit organization without much hired staff, and we depend on the people who use the projects in those languages to support them.  You do not have to perform the translations if you do not wish to, but that doesn't mean you have a right to remove the untranslated text. The money that comes in from these sales goes to pay for the costs of supporting the projects. You may believe other Russian Wikibooks participants do not wish to buy them, but it is not part of the job of an admin to make that choice for them.

Russian Wikibooks is part of the Wikimedia Foundation, so when you demonstrate that you don't care for the Wikimedia Foundation's interests, you are also hurting Wikibooks. An admin on a Wikimedia project and especially one who cares enough about it to write and bring other people in to write should not be acting against the interests of Wikimedia.
