Supporting inactive projects or projects that didn't meet our ambitions can unintentionally divert these resources from areas with more potential impact. Moreover, maintaining projects that no longer reflect the quality and reliability of the Wikimedia name stands for, involves a reputational risk. An abandoned or less reliable project affects trust in the Wikimedia movement. Lastly, '''failing to sunset or reimagine projects that are no longer working can make it much harder to start new ones'''. When the community feels bound to every past decision – no matter how outdated – we risk stagnation. A healthy ecosystem must allow for evolution, adaptation, and, when necessary, letting go. If we create the expectation that every project must exist indefinitely, we limit our ability to experiment and innovate. Because of this, SPTF reviewed two requests concerning the lifecycle of the Sister Projects to work through and demonstrate the review process. Vendar pa je zelo verjetno, da je bil v njihovi bližini ali jih celo prečkal, saj je bil Bled z okolico del njegovega domačega okolja.« Na Bledu pa je živel Prešernov soimenjak gostilničar France Prešeren (1808–1864), »blejski Prešeren«, »ta bogati Prešeren«, po rodu iz Zabreznice, ki s pesnikom ni bil v sorodu, je pa z njim prijateljeval in ga je pesnik klical kar za bratranca, drugi Ribičevi pa za strica. Bil je navdušen za vse slovansko, pevec in celo nekaj skladatelja. Prešeren je na Bledu obiskoval prijatelja, Franca Justa na Mlinem in trgovca Andreja Malnerja v Želečah, zato bi, kot je zapisal Alfonz Gspan, »skorajda kdaj« lahko obiskal tudi blejskega Prešerna, npr. na poti k slapu Savici avgusta 1832, kamor se je odpravil z Matijem Čopom in Janezom Ahačičem. Z njim se je sicer družil v Ljubljani. Blejski Prešeren je pomemben pričevalec o Prešernovih priložnostnih rimah, ki so nastajale po ljubezenskem razočaranju nad Julijo. Samo Julija naj bi jih nabrala "sčasoma do petdeset ter jih skrbno čuvala, ob primernih prilikah pa jih čitala svojim znancem in znankam. [...] Na plesih 1836/37 se je tudi z zavrnjenim pesnikom šalila." Oba Prešerna sta "uganila tudi marsikatero burko in negodnost, posebno pred pustom na plesiščih. Popisovala sta doma prav majhne listke s kratkimi zabavljicami na slovenskem, nemškem ali laškem jeziku, jih nosila s sabo na zabave ter jih pometala po tleh, seveda tako skrivaj, da ju ni nihče zapazil. Na listkih se je zabavljalo prvakom ljubljanske birokracije, starim devicam, domišljavim koketam, napihnjenim krasoticam [...] in kajpak tudi Primčevi Juliji. [...] Očital ji je npr. gizdavost, trdosrčnost, neusmiljenost. Srdito pa je udrihal na takih papirčkih po njenih sovražnikih in tekmicah, pa tudi po vseh gospodičnah, ki so slovele, da so lepše od nje. Tako je našteval napake, ki niso bile dosti znane, ali pa jih človek ni lahko precej zapazil, n. pr. grdo hojo, prevelika usta, škrbaste zobe, plošnate prsi, neplačano obleko, kupljene lase itd." (Kidrič 1938) Po pesnikovi smrti je blejski Prešeren poravnaval zajetne račune: za pogreb in za nagrobnik v Kranju. Sin blejskega Prešerna, zdravnik Gabrijel Franc Evgen Prešeren (1844–1872), je na Dunaju ruskega slavista Fedorja Evgenjeviča Korša leta 1869 tako navdušil za Prešerna, ta je ta leta 1901 celotne Poezije prevedel v ruščino. Kot vojaški zdravnik v Carigradu je zaradi radožive matere Amalije, ki je grenila življenje njegovemu očetu hotelirju, naredil samomor in tako postal model za junaka Jurčičevega romana Doktor Zober (1876). Ilka Vašte v Romanu o Prešernu (1937) na nekem mestu poroča, kako je bil depresivni pesnik slep za lepote rodne pokrajine (»Vsa krasota rodne Gorenjske ga ni ganila.«) in si je na vožnji s čolnom po blejskem jezeru v družbi Blaža Crobatha s pištolo hotel vzeti življenje. Scena, ki je plod razvnete ustvarjalne domišljije, ni ravno prepričljiva. Bled je postal pomembno mesto Prešernovega mitologiziranja. Turisti, zlasti Čehi, so obisk pesnikove rojstne vasi Vrbe po navadi povezali še s turistično destinacijo Bled (ali obratno) in podoživljali svoja kulturna romanja v slovansko čustvujočih potopisih, ki so jih slovenski časopisi pridno prevedli in objavili. Na Bledu so se zbirali na proslavah še posebej po postavitvi spomenika Prešernu pod cerkvijo sv. Martina 1883. Postavitev ni bila ravno spontana, spodbudilo jo je nemško-slovensko kulturno rivalstvo. Kranjski Nemci so namreč leta 1881 počastili svojega pesnika Anastazija Grüna (ki je bil na Dunaju Prešernov varovanec in pozneje prijatelj s pravim imenom grof Anton Alexander Auersperg) s spominsko ploščo v Mali Zaki ob Blejskem jezeru. Plošča v nemščini je šla Slovencem hudo v nos, z obeliskom Prešernu na Bledu so se postavili proti tej provokativni demonstraciji nemštva.
