Come forse saprete già, la prossima settimana, precisamente dal 7 al 21 marzo, si terrà la votazione per la ratifica delle linee guida per l'applicazione del Codice Universale di Condotta (UCoC). In quanto componenti del movimento Wikimedia, la vostra voce e le vostre opinioni sono importanti, ed è quindi necessaria la vostra rappresentanza in questa votazione.

In quanto volontario di supporto per tutta la durata della votazione, se avete domande o bisogno di ulteriori informazioni potete contattarmi in qualsiasi momento. I want to bring your attention to the next stage of the Universal Code of Conduct process, which is forming a building committee for the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C). I invite community members with experience and deep interest in community health and governance to nominate themselves to be part of the U4C building committee, which needs people who are:

* Community members in good standing
* Knowledgeable about movement community processes, such as, but not limited to, policy drafting, participatory decision making, and application of existing rules and policies on Wikimedia projects

The [[m:Special:MyLanguage/Wikimedia_Foundation_elections_committee|Elections Committee]] assists with the design and implementation of the process to select Community- and Affiliate-Selected trustees for the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees. After an open nomination process, the strongest candidates spoke with the Board and four candidates were asked to join the Elections Committee. Four other candidates were asked to participate as advisors.

In alcuni casi questo può addirittura raddoppiare la quantità di JavaScript che inviamo agli utenti finali, il che significa più codice da caricare, un'esperienza più lenta e potenzialmente un [[:w:it:Ottimizzazione per i motori di ricerca|SEO]] (posizionamento nei motori di ricerca) peggiore.

The [[foundation:Special:MyLanguage/Policy:Universal Code of Conduct/Enforcement guidelines|Enforcement Guidelines]] require a [[foundation:Special:MyLanguage/Policy:Universal_Code_of_Conduct/Enforcement_guidelines#4.5_U4C_Building_Committee|Building Committee]] form to draft a charter that outlines procedures and details for a global committee to be called the [[foundation:Special:MyLanguage/Policy:Universal_Code_of_Conduct/Enforcement_guidelines#4._UCoC_Coordinating_Committee_(U4C)|Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C)]]. Over the past few months, the U4C Building Committee worked together as a group to discuss and draft the U4C charter. The U4C Building Committee welcomes feedback about the draft charter now through 22 September 2023. Quest'anno termina il mandato di 4 (quattro) dei membri del Board di Wikimedia Foundation scelti dalla comunità e dagli affiliati [1]. Il Board invita tutto il movimento a partecipare al processo di selezione di quest'anno e a votare per trovare dei membri per questi seggi.

Il [[m:Special:MyLanguage/Wikimedia Foundation elections committee|comitato elettorale]] supervisionerà questo processo con il supporto del personale di Wikimedia Foundation [2]. Il Comitato per la governance del Board ha creato un gruppo di lavoro per la selezione del Board, il gruppo è composto da Dariusz Jemielniak, Nataliia Tymkiv, Esra'a Al Shafei, Kathy Collins e Shani Evenstein Sigalov, che non possono essere candidati al processo di selezione degli amministratori della comunità e degli affiliati per il 2024 [3]. We opened a discussion on Meta about a very delicate issue for the development of [[:m:Special:MyLanguage/Abstract Wikipedia|Abstract Wikipedia]]: where to store the abstract content that will be developed through functions from Wikifunctions and data from Wikidata. Since some of the hypothesis involve your project, we wanted to hear your thoughts too. 

We want to make the decision process clear: we do not yet know which option we want to use, which is why we are consulting here. We will take the arguments from the Wikimedia communities into account, and we want to consult with the different communities and hear arguments that will help us with the decision. The decision will be made and communicated after the consultation period by the Foundation.

Buongiorno,

Quest'anno, il mandato di 2 (due) membri del Board selezionati dalla comunità e dagli affiliati nel Board of Trustees di Wikimedia Foundation giungerà a termine [1]. Il Board invita tutto il movimento a partecipare al processo di selezione di quest'anno e a votare per occupare questi posti.

La commissione elettorale supervisionerà questo processo con il supporto dello staff della Foundation [2]. Il Comitato per la governance, composto da membri del Board che non sono candidati al processo di selezione del 2025 selezionati dalla comunità e dagli affiliati (Raju Narisetti, Shani Evenstein Sigalov, Lorenzo Losa, Kathy Collins, Victoria Doronina e Esra'a Al Shafei) [3], ha il compito di fornire una supervisione del Board per il processo di selezione dei membri del Board del 2025 e di tenere informato il Board.
